Tagging and Dates

How publish-date and tags shape a listing's order and appearance.

::article-list sorts by publish-date descending — newest first. Articles without a publish-date always sort last, regardless of how recently they were edited. If ordering matters for a directory — a blog, a changelog — set publish-date on every entry:

---
title: Shipping the new search
publish-date: 2026-04-02
---

tags renders as badges in both the article header and each row of a listing. Because list rows are compact, keep tags short and few — a word or two, at most three or four — so a row doesn't wrap:

---
title: Shipping the new search
tags: [changelog, search]
---
